Police investigating suspicious death near Lady Bird Lake

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is investigating a suspicious death near Lady Bird Lake.

Police said it happened near the intersection of South Lamar Boulevard and Riverside Drive around 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Riverside Drive is closed at Lamar while police investigate.

APD found a car in the water in the same area around 3:30 a.m., but police have not said if that incident is related to the suspicious death investigation.
