StormTracker8: Cloudy weekend ahead

Richmond, VA (WRIC) – t’s a chilly start to the weekend across Central Virginia.

A few light showers are possible this morning and afternoon, but most of Central Virginia will stay dry and not see any rain. Skies will be mostly cloudy across the region with highs in the 40s and 50s.

Sunday will be similar. A few light showers are possible, but most of the region will stay dry. Skies will be mostly cloudy with highs in the 49s and 50s once again.

The work week will start off chilly, but it will be sunnier. Skies will be mostly to partly sunny with highs in the 40s and 50s.

Tuesday will be another cool, but pleasant day with highs in the 40s and lower 50s under mostly sunny skies.

Cloud cover and rain chances will begin to increase on Wednesday as a weather system slides towards us. Highs will be in the middle to upper 40s with scattered showers possible throughout the day.

The best chance at seeing rain will be on Thursday. Widespread rain is likely throughout the day with highs topping out in the middle to upper 40s. It will be a cold and rainy day across the commonwealth.

The system will begin to exit on Friday. Lingering showers are possible early in the morning, but we will begin to clear up quickly throughout the day. Highs will once again be in the 40s with mostly sunny skies by the afternoon. It looks like it will be a bit to warm for any snow to form with this weather system.
