How to perfect a “no makeup” makeup look
Applying a thick coat of foundation is the first mistake most people make when it comes to creating a “no makeup” makeup look. In fact, less is infinitely more.
For a more natural look, try using a tinted moisturiser or a lightweight foundation with medium, buildable coverage, such as the NARS Light Reflecting Foundation or Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Foundation.
NARS’ innovative formula is a blend of makeup and skincare, which instantly smooths the skin and helps conceal blemishes, redness, and dark spots. While Shiseido’s formula self-refreshes throughout the day with ActiveForce technology. It resists heat, humidity, oil, and facial movement for a weightless, flawless finish all day.
If you have a few blemishes, you can then use a concealer to hide them. Dot small amounts of NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer on them and blend it out. By layering coverage only in areas where you need it, you’ll be wearing a lighter face of naturally-looking makeup.
For those with more prominent fine lines and wrinkles, you may want to reconsider applying foundation on those areas as they may not be able to cover up deep-set wrinkles.
Instead, you can use a small amount of highlighter, which would reflect light and make fine lines appear less obvious. Try patting on a tiny bit of highlighting powder or cream to illuminate and smooth those areas.
