Settlements to aid opioid epidemic? Ex-prosecutor says no

(NewsNation) — CVS and Walgreens announced this week that they’ve agreed to pay $5 billion each to settle thousands of lawsuits over their roles in the opioid epidemic. Will the settlements have any real impact?

The former prosecutor who led the Justice Department investigation into Purdue Pharma doesn’t think so. Rick Mountcastle, who was portrayed in a new Hulu series “Dopesick” that dramatizes the investigation, joined “CUOMO” on Thursday to explain why.
