Pick a party theme

One of the best ways to make your holiday party stand out is to pick a theme. Whether it’s an ugly sweater party or a more formal gathering, having a theme will help set the tone for your event and make it more memorable. All you have to do to send online invitations from Punchbowl is choose a design, add your event details, select fonts, and colors, and you could even add a poll to pick a menu or drink. It can import your guest list with phone numbers or email addresses from your contacts. Easy! Plus, new customers can send invites free during their free trial.

Send Your Guests Home with a Gift

Your guests will appreciate receiving a small gift as they head home at the end of the night. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive – a small ornament or scented candle will do. Or, try a sweet book! This book would make for a great party favor OR hostess gift.

Bar Menu by Andre Darlington features over 100 easy-to-cook dishes that can inspire your next holiday party. There are over 30 cocktail recipes with global flavors and full-color photos throughout. This is a fun coffee-table book and perfect for a gift.

Plan Some Fun Activities

IMG 1420 jpg

To really make your holiday party one to remember, plan some fun activities that everyone can enjoy. A few ideas include playing charades, decorating gingerbread houses, or watching Christmas movies together. Just keep things festive and light-hearted so that everyone can have a good time. One fun activity could be to share charcuterie-style boards. Encourage your guests to make a tasty board to share, and one snack board idea could be these tasty infused almonds!

IMG 1426 jpg

RECIPE 33 currently offers five unique flavor combinations in their infused almonds including Black Truffle, Lemon Rosemary, Smoky Serrano, Garlic Dill, and Cinnamon Vanilla. They make perfect snack board choices because they don’t have any of the sticky and salty mess from other seasoned nuts. They are made with real ingredients that you will find in each package—smoky serrano has the dried peppers, garlic dill has garlic chips and dried dill, lemon rosemary has lemon wedges and sprigs of rosemary, cinnamon vanilla has a cinnamon stick and dried vanilla bean pods.

Look for easy solutions to save time

Any smart party hostess knows to find ways to save time (and money!) when planning a party. If you’re cooking this year, don’t miss Dorot Gardens! Dorot Gardens offers easy solutions to add flavor to your cooking including crushed garlic, crushed ginger, chopped basil, sauteed onions, crushed turmeric, chopped parsley, chopped cilantro, and chopped dill.

We used Dorot Gardens Garlic to prepare the pizza recipe below, and it was so nice to know that 1 cube equals 1 clove. With the popping out from the container, your hands won’t smell like garlic any longer! No peeling, chopping, measuring or mess.

Create a Playlist

No party is complete without music! Create a playlist of all your favorite holiday tunes to get everyone in the festive mood. Include something for everyone so that everyone can enjoy themselves.

Throwing the perfect holiday party is easier than you might think! Just pick a theme, create a playlist, set the scene with some festive decorations, serve up some delicious food and drinks, and plan some fun activities, and you’re well on your way to hosting an event that everyone will love. So what are you waiting for? Get planning!
