Featuring production and guest appearances from some of the biggest names in Indie Hip-Hop (DJ Shadow, Lyrics Born, Del The Funky Homosapien, Dan the Automator, The Grouch, Chief Xcel), FIREWIRE is a tour de force of musical depth, creativity and production.
From the hype of the lead track “Let’s Get Up” to the old school boom-bap of “Oakland”, and all the way to the aggressive pop of “Hardship Enterprise” and the Tarantino-esque vibe of “Say What You Want”, the diversity of FIREWIRE is as apparent as it is refreshing.
With a tracklisting meticulously constructed by Lateef himself for maximum listening enjoyment, the album has a little something for everybody — from the old school Solesides and Quannum heads to the Electro/Dub step fanatics, FIREWIRE has it all.
